Deciding to study abroad in the United States will set you apart and give you a significant advantage as you prepare for college and beyond. At Asheville Christian Academy, you will be equipped to apply to the university of your choice, and so much more. We believe that the what and how you are taught is crucial to who will become.

Asheville Christian’s holistic Gospel-centered education is what sets us apart from other school options available to you. Not only do we prepare you to thrive in an academically challenging setting, we focus on guiding you to live a life that honors God through regular Bible instruction, biblical integration across all classes, discipleship opportunities, and living with a family. We look forward to you becoming part of our family.

Academic Preparation

You will be taught God’s Word every day through biblical integration in all subjects in addition to being in an academically rigorous program. These are some of the vital ways this happens:

  • AP and Honors classes. Most upper level classes have honors and Advanced Placement options.

  • Dual enrollment. Many of our upper level classes also have a dual enrollment option. If desired, you may pay an extra fee and receive college credit for the classes you take, which will transfer to most US universities.

  • College guidance. Whether your goal is to attend university in the United States, or elsewhere, we have a college guidance department that will meet with you and advise you as you begin your college search and through the application process your senior year.

Homestay Experience

Each of our international students lives with an American family while they are at Asheville Christian. We believe that your experience is deeper and more wholistic if you are part of a family while here.

You will likely have American “siblings” and be a regular part of the family’s daily life. Your family will provide you with your own private room and make sure you have what you need for school classes and activities.

Other Opportunities

You will have the opportunity to be involved in activities that will enrich your experience and allow you to become a truly well-rounded student.

  • Chapel. You will grow spiritually as you participate in weekly chapels and are encouraged to follow God.

  • Serving others. Service is a vital way to get to know God’s heart for the world. You can be involved in clubs, honors societies, and student government. There are also opportunities to make a difference in the Asheville community and around the globe.

  • Sports. We have varsity teams in baseball, basketball, cheer, cross country, football, golf, soccer, swimming, tennis, track & field, volleyball.

  • Fine arts. We have many opportunities for you to expand your involvement in the arts, whether it is through choir, symphonic band, theatre, or visual arts.
